the Kinetic SBS-1 decoder is definitely the best of the Mode S ADS-B receivers
(the Airnav box is not called SBS-1 .. SBS-1 is the type of the Kinetic receiver)

According to tests done by different users the AirNav receiver is less sensitive.

The main reason to get the SBS-1 is the huge community ...

it's much more complicated than this...

runway capacity is never "tested"
If changes are studied they are "tested" in the simulator - never with real traffic
everything is calculated and defined.

Safety is the number one concern.
