I think you will find the failed attempt to bring dat - brussels airlines (ex SN Brussels Airlines) and brussels airlines fly (ex Virgin Express) together under one single AOC at the basis of his resignation... Technical problems should not be considered as "force majeure". They are entirely the airline's responsibility (bad maintenance, etc.). Hence you should be entitled to compensation as provided by EU legislation.

It's done already.

1) 9W flights to/from Mumbai also carry an SN code (SN8121/2). 9W flights to EWR are not codeshared because of the SN agreement with AA.

2) Some SN flights to/from BHX, GVA, ... also carry an 9W code.

It seems that the 737 fleet of Brussels Airlines Fly got several delays these last few days. It started with an evening flight to Rome earlier this week. The return flight the next morning was cancelled, resulting in delays in cascade. Apparently they are still catching up...
