Re: Air Belgium in 2021
A7-AFG (msn 1584) seems to be the first in the delivery queue and has operated two test flights in Doha on 4 and 5 Feb. CMA CGM Air Cargo (France) enters into a CMI deal on two of the A330-200Fs operated by Air Belgium. So the aircraft are acquired by CGM and then KF provides the maintenance, insur...

Re: Direct flight vs Nonstop flight
I had to look twice last year when my MIA-ATL was displayed as Miami-Atlanta-Brussels at the gate in Miami.
The first flight was on a MD80, and ATL-BRU on 767.
Now the DL80 seems to be MEM-ATL-BRU.

Also, this flight is empty so it has a lot more range than a fully loaded 330.

According Flightstats on 25/08, if you count in GIG/GRU (I know, airport pair vs city pair, but still...)52 flights a day (as checked for yesterday thanks to FR24) between SDU and CGH
GIG-GRU: 13
SDU-GRU: 11
GIG-CGH: 9
SDU-CGH: 60
Total 93 flights/day

BTW, Oman Air must be making quite a lot of money because of the ban: they are the only gulf airline with connections between DOH and the rest of the gulf (KWI, BAH, DXB, AUH, Saudi Arabia) via Muscat.
I flew DXB-MCT-DOH (787 and 330 now), and most of the pax from DXB connected to DOH.

In the AIP, EBAW specific, AD 2.21 Noise abatement Procedures Using full take-off thrust climb with the maximum gradient compatible with safety until passing through 800 FT QNH. That NOTAM is quite recurrent the last years. And it's only up to FL100.
99% sure it has nothing to do with it. For the moment technical failure (+maybe pilot error) seems most probable cause for the moment.

No it won't, because it was not fair to attack Ryanair because of that. I do not like Ryanair and think its way of working are not fair, BUT regarding the "low on fuel"-status, it can happen to any airline in Europe, and this is proven once again. You can not take unlimited fuel on all fli...

Indeed, don't expect an A330 for Thomas Cook Belgium soon. An A321 maybe, that would be the largest aircraft suitable for TCW.

I heard D-AICI and D-AICJ were going to Belgium, so this would indeed be Belgian colors. Surely not Condor as they still have their own titles and UK will only receive A321's.
