Such a decison wouldn't really reflect the spirit of EasyJet in my opinion. The last few months they try to profile themselves as an evironmental friendly airline trying to do everything to reduce emissions..

Fleeing AMS due to an ecotax would just proof the contrary...

If you don't really know how the UK system works it's hard to really compare an English with a Belgian Company !

easyJet also has extra costs on top of their pilots gross salary.
For example, in Orly (with the new french social security rules) easy contributes 38 062£ to the French Social Security ...

Talking about Easyjet: their result for Sept 2006 till March 2007: minus 25 mio euro. But still that's good news, as it was minus 59 mio euro for the same period last year.

Maybe a stupid remark, but when I look at the EZY-timetable for Brussels, I notice that they have a 25-minute turnaround time. Is'n that short for an airport like BRU?

25 minutes is a very standard turnaround for ezy...It's not really the size of the airport that has influence on the turnaround ...

NO easyJet AND VIRGIN ALLIANCE

You may have seen some press reports over the last couple of days that link easyJet to an alliance with Virgin Atlantic and Air Asia, a low-cost airline based in Kuala Lumpar. You may be interested to know that there is no truth in any of these rumours and it seems as ...

@fcw...

check your numbers before you exagerate them...

1) a bonus of 5000 euros : it was a bonus of half a month's salary and it was in shares (which you'll only get after 3 years ) ...

2) if BruAir pilots only earn 25 - 33% of what easyjet pilots, they would all be gone... ok, you earn more at ...

I did a 23 min turn around in Amsterdam Schiphol last week which is even bigger than MAD, so it's possible, although you can't compare spain with the netherlands

Hi guys,

Nice Pictures of the Easyjet doing touch & go's !

My roommate was one of the guys 'trying' to land it and I was wondering if any of you got more pictures?

He was the second one to do them .

If you got some, please send them to pieterlippens@gmail.com

greetings,

10 daily slots suggests (only) 5 daily rotations. From this I would understand that initially they would not base any aircraft at BRU.

Even if Easyjet comes to BRU they won't base any aircraft in BRU, They don't have any aircraft based in AMS or CDG, it's not part of their philosophy to base ...

The only possibility for the FO to log PIC is as PIC under instruction or "PICUS" for which a TRI or TRE is required .

PICUS is Pilot In Command under Supervision and you don't need a TRI or TRE for that, any captain is good as far as I know... (Correct me if i'm wrong ! )

But you can only log ...

I honestly think it's a good decision.

On a flight LGW- Milan you have a lot of businessmen who don't have any luggage, so for them it's not problem. It is a problem if their flight is 2 hours delayed... And if it's the first flight of the day it's not only that flight that's delayed but the other ...
