Re: ANTWERP AIRPORT

ANR-BRU on a Boeing 737-200 ?! What a short hop!!! Houw much time did this flight last? It was really short, I can tell you. My (passenger’s) logbook shows two flights with OO-SDM on june 29, 1979: ANR-BRU SN900 11 minutes (10.50-11.01 t/o RW 29 landing 25L) BRU-ANR SN901 8 minutes (16.17-16.25 t/o...

Re: vlm from Brussels to London City ?

.....The spokesman added that VLM remained committed to its profitable operations from Manchester, namely regular services to Antwerp and Rotterdam. Profitable ? According to CAA-statistics they carried 17.000 on RTM-MAN in 2008, which in my calculation means a loadfactor of about 30%. ANR is doing...

Re: vlm from Brussels to London City ?

* Some routes are that vulnerable that you can fly them almost with no pax on board. That’s what they did in April: 396 pax, minus 84% on 2008 an average of about 5 pax per flight. Another one, LCY-MAN was – 56% and will be terminated as from June 1, according to (in Dutch) : http://www.luchtvaartn...

Re: vlm from Brussels to London City ?

In January only 697 pax were airlifted on this route, minus 73% on 2008.
This means an average loadfactor below 20%. I don’t understand why they continue operating this route.

No I havn’t I guess Intersky is aiming to catch wintersport tourists for Austria/Switzerland. FDH had about 10.000 of them out of 600.000 total pax in 2006. But they will need a strong touroperator to make a success of this new route and apart from in this forum, I havn’t seen any publication what s...
