Lowest level depends on the holding navaid ( FLO - KERKY - BUN - ANT e.g. ): usually varies between FL80 and FL100. Vertical separation 1000 feet.

Re: RAM 747 at Brussels .... where?
As from what i heard the 744 is in technical, which is why they're sending multiple 738's and Atlas Blue aircraft. There must be someone able to confirm what's up with the 744 ?!

Yes, no doubt, HLN are experts at giving incomplete information... They prefer being the first to publish i.s.o. giving complete and correct information. How HLN is, and continues to be the most popular newspaper beats me sometimes :p

That's because both airlines operate flights for each other since their marriage

Re: BRU 03/07/2009
OO-JAP is named "Crystal" . Performed a take-off ( at about 1645LT i think ) with no gear retraction, flew towards the Belgian coast and toured overhead central Belgium and the coast for 3-4 hours, then made a missed approach on 25L at about 2110LT, and landed some 10 minutes later. Plane ...

Hey guys,
How about someone posts a picture of the RAK airways aircraft here in EBBR ? This discussion is going nowhere ! Customers will decide in the end which is the best airline. Time will tell.

It just flew as JAF111, made a ( by pilot requested ) missed approach on 25R and landed on 25L.

Re: Un 747 bien bas au-dessus de Bruxelles
Maybe this post on another forum can shed some light on all things involved in a runway change: http://www.pprune.org/atc-issues/366521-runway-change-atcs-point-view.html You'll see that 25 to 40 minutes for a runway change is not that abnormal at a larger aerodrome... very interresting page !

I was in my house and saw it happen: the Atlanta icelandic broke off the approach before passing the OM at about 1730LT, so he must still have been at +- 2000ft, and immediately started climbing before turning left to approximately heading 250. I swear to all Brussels airport haters: never was there...
