MAN-ABZ with Loganair 050922
My first flight for two years, and I was really looking forward to it! I was supposed to fly from NCL to ABZ with Loganair last year but the flight was axed and instead we had to endure several hours on thew worst long distance train in the UK - the LNER Azuma. I said I would not be doing that again...

Re: Where will you fly in 2022?
I booked my holiday flights today. First is Manchester to Aberdeen with Loganair. The Loganair website is not the most informative when it comes to flight details but looking at the seating plan I'm guessing at an ATR (which would be my first ever). It's 2-2 seating so certainly not the ERJ. My retu...

Re: Where will you fly in 2022?
Hoping to fly to Aberdeen after my flight was axed by Loganair in 2021. Don't know which was yet - maybe direct with Loganair from MAN or with Eastern from NCL or with BA via LHR ( I really would do that
).

Re: Looking back to 2020: one year of flights
For me 2020 was a good year as far as flights went. I had booked my flights in December 2019 before the pandemic started and it was touch and go whether or not we'd get anywhere but thankfully all my booked flights (not very many of them) went ahead. KL1276 EDI-AMS 737-700 PH-BGG "Koningseider&...

Re: Where will you fly in 2021?
Booked my sole flight of 2021 today - Newcastle to Aberdeen with Loganair on 7th September. I can't go abroad this year but I have to fly somewhere so my first flight on Loganair and my first trip to Aberdeen. Enjoy! No return? Type of aircraft? Our aircraft is an Embraer jet, a 135 or 145 (which I...

Just for comparison between snacks of 2019 and 2020. These are the snacks from last year.

Two Beemster cheese salad dsandwiches.

A Beemster wrap.

Two Beemster and tomato sandwiches.

Re: WAW-AMS-EDI on KLM 14/09/2020
This is why I don't like the Embraer 190 (I specify the 190 because I don't have a problem with the 135 and 145). https://i.imgur.com/BplHMdA.jpg The seat to window alignment is absolutely ghastly. To see through the window you either have to twist your back and look over your shoulder or lean right...

Re: WAW-AMS-EDI on KLM 14/09/2020
Thanks for the comment Andre. I remember last year having Beemster cheese on all four flights, but then it was served in different ways - two flights with ordinary sandwiches and two flights with wraps. The only KLM flight without that particular sandwich this year was our very early morning flight ...

WAW-AMS-EDI on KLM 14/09/2020
We had a great holiday in Warsaw - the weather was good every day, the first time we've had a holiday in Poland without any rain. It was also nicer walking about and shopping in Poland than it is at home. Eating out was also more enjoyable as we didn't have to provide phone numbers and names and add...

Re: WAW-WRO with LOT 10/09/20
Thanks for the reply Andre. The experience with LOT was weird - they had my booking on the system but no evidence that I had also paid to select individual seats at the same time I booked the tickets (I had chosen specific seats because I wanted to be near the front to have an unobstructed view with...

WAW-WRO with LOT 10/09/20
I always like to try new aircraft types, airlines and airports, and when we were on holiday in Poland the other week I was able to do all three in one day  . I had booked a day trip to Wrocław, flying with LOT so I would finally get my flight in a Q400 (I had wanted to fly in this type for ...

Re: EDI-AMS-WAW with KLM 07/09/20
Thanks for the comment Andre. The KLM Embraer 190s are the only ones I have experienced so I have based my opinion of the type on them. If another airline had a better seat to window placement I would probably change my view because that is my big "gripe" with flying in the aircraft. The l...

EDI-AMS-WAW with KLM 07/09/20
I booked the holiday in December 2019, before COVID had even been heard of, but it was touch and go whether we would actually get our trip because of the virus. I had booked our "usual" flights, but a couple of weeks before we were due to go I was emailed by KLM to say that the AMS-WAW fli...

Re: Looking back to 2019: one year of flights
Mine is very bland in comparison. Apart from the stress of being given incorrect information on the Edinburgh Airport "live" departures website, leading me to think I would lose my holiday, my flying year was very quiet, just the now-usual KLM flights to Warsaw via Amsterdam. Next year wil...

All my flights now booked for 2020.
EDI-AMS-WAW on 7th September with KLM.
WAW-WRO on 10th September with LOT (new airline, new aircraft type and new airport for me).
WAW-AMS-EDI on 14th September with KLM.

Q400 seats
Is anyone familiar with the seats in the Q400? I have my first flight in one next year in seat 4A. Is the view likely to be good or do the seats have a poor window alignment like they do in the Embraer 190? In the Embraer the seats were "between" windows so I had to lean right forward or l...
