Re: ILS Treviso Airport

I was lucky to land in TSF on Saturday, January 24th. I was very worried myself about the fog the day before.
I even considered on not going anymore, I wouldn’t have liked to land maybe in Trieste, it would have been a lot less time to spend in Venice (which was already short, since I had a flight ...

Booking tickets on mobile phone

I tried a few times to book tickets using my mobile phone. The internet connection is obviously slower than on my computer, but the web pages are still loaded. But when I get to the final step, it freezes and there is no confirmation of the booking.

For example, on Ryanair website, when you a ...

How to set up a plane spotting forum

I am thinking of setting up a forum specialized exclusively on plane spotting in Romania. Can anyone give me any advice about how the forum should be structured?.. by categories, subcategories… etc.

Thank you.

Enjoyable experience on TAROM domestic flight

Almost 3 weeks ago I flew for the first time, on the Romanian national carrier, TAROM, and unfortunately the overall experience wasn’t what I expected, because I had serious problems with a flight ...

Horrible experience on TAROM domestic flights

http://img340.imageshack.us/img340/7835/rotqr8.gif

These flights on TAROM were absolutely fine, but the whole experience turned nasty, when I had to make an ‘unscheduled’ stop at the airport police office in Bucharest, because a flight attendant ...

Re: My first flight in PGA (F100) after TAP's full take-over

I greatly enjoyed your 8 pictures... :? Breathtaking report... ...NOT!

You should’ve kept this TR for yourself, really!

Usually there are two kinds of TRs, one with comments and pictures, and the other one with only comments. Yours is with comments, but not in English, and almost with no ...

Flight log: airline or aircraft?

I suppose many of you have a flight log… In case you fly an airline and the a/c isn’t actually from that particular airline, it’s leased… What would you write down in your log, the original airline or the airline which the a/c belongs to?

It happened to me to buy a ticket on SkyEurope , from BUD to ...

From your replies I can understand that you don’t give a s**t on global warming and other stuff related to it!
Maybe you don’t care but I’ve been ‘cooking’ at almost 40 degrees C, already for 2 months now. In Europe, not Africa.

Let’s forget about this crap…
Let’s keep flying guys! :)

XXI century thread: Our passion for flying affects Earth

There are more and more studies on the global warming and always one of the key factors is the aviation industry, which causes so much damage to our environment and planet.

Have you ever thought when you were flying, that you are actually taking part in the process of global warming and ...

"Low Cost" Or "Low–Cost"?

This might seem a bit weird, but I can assure you that this as serious as it can get. I am writing a study on LCC and I need to know exactly how should I write the title: low cost or low–cost?

What is the right way of writing and why?

Thank you in advance! It's really important for me.

Thank you all for taking the time to read it and for the nice words!

I am just curious- on your short Hawaii flights (20-30 min), do you remember, what was the cruise level, especially on the 737-200?

I don’t know for sure but I would guess it was somewhere between FL120 and FL150, not more than ...

One question though: if you only discovered your passion for planes after the trip, why dit you make the trip in the first place?
Must have been great flying to all those different places in different aircraft :)

Well I did like to travel a lot, so there wasn’t any other way of getting to ...

Make yourself comfortable, this is going to be a long trip report.
I made this trip in Sep-Oct 2006, but I only had the initiative to write the trip report now. The reason is quite simple: my true passion for aviation developed after taking this ...

How much did you pay, nic_biso?
There is also Blue Air, a Romanian low cost airline, but with higher prices.
I paid aprox. 107 euros, round trip.

Barcelona adventure in 20 hours (lots of pics)

I planned this trip not so long time ago, which is a bit unusual for me because I always book my flights well ahead. Well this time I was quite spontaneous and I booked not more than 10 days before the date of the flights. I did this because I haven’t flown since mid April and also that the fares ...

Number of flights in one day

How many times did you fly in only one day? But on a commercial airliner, with all the related processes: check-in, security, boarding etc…
I usually had 2 flights per day, but on one occasion I indulged myself with 5 flights, all scheduled. They were short flights, not more than 30-40 minutes. 3 ...
