Re: Spotting at BRU 2016

Will certainly wait for the weather & daylight to improve.
Haven't booked anything as yet, but am looking at coming over in late April or May.

Regards,

Neil.

Re: Spotting at BRU 2016

Thanks for your help and advice gentlemen.
Had heard that scanners are pretty unwelcome in Belgium.
In the UK, apparently the law is that whilst it is not illegal to listen to aircraft, it is illegal to pass on any information you hear to a third party.
I did actually visit the excellent museum in ...

Re: Spotting at BRU 2016

Thanks for that, unfortunately will only have access to public transport so will stick to the car parks.
Have used the "Wingtips" restaurant in the terminal previously, but I believe the views of 25R/07L are pretty restricted now due to building work.

Spotting at BRU 2016

I'm thinking of coming over to BRU from the UK in a few weeks time for some spotting and photography.
What I would like to know is that in view of the heightened security in the Brussels area, is it still possible to spot and photograph from the roofs of Frontpark1 and Frontpark 3 without being ...

Ryanair have a philosophy of "you get what you pay for", which is usually not a lot. If your flight is cancelled through no fault on their behalf, they will offer you a refund or transportation on the next available flight with seats available (could be in 3 days time.) Whilst it seems unfair, you ...

Hello there,

Can you guys out there help me with the current attitude towards scanners in Belgium. I believe they are illegal in Belgium, but listening to them in the UK is also, but the authorities don't bother. Am over in BRU for a couple of days next month and obviously don't want to get in ...

Hi there,

With regards to scanners in Germany, I think one should be careful. I don't think it is legal. I visit German airports quite regularly and have never seen a German spotter openly using a scanner. I have used a concealed scanner with an earpiece on many occasions without a problem, but my ...

Paris Air Show

Hello Rutger,

Sorry you were disappointed with the Paris Air Show this year. I went on Wednesday and all the aircraft which had gone when you went were present. As with every show here, many aircraft leave after the trade days, I guess the main aim of the show from the organisers point of view is ...

Spotting at Grimbergen

Hello there,

Will be having a few days in Belgium in August, and would like to know if it's possible to visit Grimbergen Airport via public transport from BRU. Also would like to know what the chances of airside/hangar access are at Grimbergen.

Any help appreciated,

Regards,

Neil. :)

Getting to LGG

Hi there,

I wish to visit Bierset on the 12th May for the heli day (and the freighters.)
Will be coming by train from Cologne. Is it possible to get to the airport from Guillemins Railway Station by public transport? Have looked on the airport website and it only gives directions by car. Any help ...
