uk route changes

several airlines have cut and changed some routes over the last few months:
air berlin is dropping its STN-GLA service ( direct competition from easyjet), its STN-LEI and STN-BHD (where it had indirect competition from ryanair at AOC and easyjet at BFS), its also dropping BOH-PAD and MAN-PAD, MAN ...

looks like flybe and brussels airlines are going to be codesharing... although flybe doesn't yet seel the brussels airlines flights, a glance at their timetables shows that the flights are at the same times as brussels airlines every time from bristol newcastle and birmingham, and from early ...

some of the new code-sharing from BA/flybe seems quite random, why, for exmple are they continuing to code-share from birmngham? BA itself has no more operations there...unless it's to connect passengers through from SunAir of Scandanavia..?Also, why code-share Edinburgh-Paris? Is it for the benefit ...

what does everyone think will happen between the co-operation between oneworld members and ba, once ba connect has been bought? will the likes of iberia, brussels airlines and american airlines continue codesharing on the routes when flybe is running them?

anyone got any idea when this deal between flybe and ba connect is due to be finalised? last i read it should have been completed by the end of 2006, but still no word. i want to book ba connect flights for april july and august from manchester, but im concious that i dont want them to be booked ...

perhaps if varig were to oneday join another airline alliance, skyteam would be the best option? considering tap air portugal's current links to brazil, varig could act as a feeder to european routes and serve europeans heading out into south america from brazil

i agree, they recently decided to base a crew and plane there, so eastern airways could be good as a replacement on the route to gatwick, but im not sure if there planes would manage flights to ireland and id reckon that its not in eastern airways' style to offer a summer service to jersey, perhaps ...
