and about the salary at CargoB: salary is the thing you take home every month even when you're on holiday or sick. So don't count all those basket-type special salary constructions in it. They are fun but don't count when it really matters.

when looking at the seniority list as given 18th of june 2007 we were able to cross of:
cpt Airbus: 4
FO airbus: 4
cpt avro: 14
FO avro: 15

still waiting for a starting date: 8 that I know of but most certainly more, these guys are already confirmed ...

i have no clue about l'echo but I do know that our per diems which should normally be paid at the latest the 15th are still not on our bank accounts :evil:

indeed type ratings are less important right now but it's the hours that get you somewhere: at those charter companies you fly longer hours ...

most pilots of BA who are avro pilots as it seems that type rating is getting less important but the hours you have in the airline are. I of course don't know for the ex-virgin pilots.

and might I also add that, although it is indeed rather important for the employer, we don't care how much he has to pay for his personnel. What counts is how much you earn at the end of the month. I can't go buy food with all that extra money BA pays the government.

we as crew do not get paid more because we have a delay and we want to go home too. remember that most of the time we're up and working on that plane before you get on board so those are pretty long days for us too.
