I said in the case of an inflight shutdown or other serious event, an immediate replacement will be found.
In the case of diversions due to bad weather for example, the preferred plan is to wait for the pax to be bussed or position the aircraft empty and collect them subject to an improvement in ...

Re: Emergency landing Avro Brussels Airlines 16 april
if the FR flight to XYZ falls out, they'll offer to rebook you to the next available FR flight, which can be as much as a week later even.... I'd say that is a pretty big difference from a Full Service Airlines' approach where you'll be on your way either on another flight of theirs or ...

Re: Ryanair comes back to Ostend !
For the record, 85% or Ryanair passengers belong to the desirable ABC1 top social groups and 73% are college/university educated. Now call me crazy, but I'd bet that they are not the normal types found staying in youth hostels and vomiting on the beautiful streets of Bruges on a Saturday night. We ...

Re: SkyEurope Holding AG: Suspension of all flights.
Indeed : it looks excellent. It's almost as good as the balance sheet from Lernout & Hauspie.
But actually, today's costs and flight-related expenditures from LCC's are paid with the cash they've recieved for future bookings. For those who understand Flemish, I recommend the recent article ...

Re: MY AIR (8I) went bankrupt
Wizz have never been profitable. They rely on taking delivery of new A320s and immediately selling them (sale and leaseback) to usually GECAS (same idea and leasing company which SkyEurope used). Great short term stategy but needs constant deliveries hence bulk Airbus orders.

It really is amazing. Is there no offical channel through which staff can express their problems with management before it comes to disrupting the very people who pay for the service? Any independent authorities? I respect that conditions are not ideal for the controllers but get real.

Re: Cargo B Tailstrike
The only reason why Ryanair has published this photo, is because it proofs the birdstrike(s).
Have you ever seen a photo from a Ryanair plane on the Ryanair website, stuck in the mud or with the slides deployed after an emergency landing?
You mean something like this: http://www.ryanair.com ...

Re: Ryanair closes Valencia base as from 4 Nov 2008
The number of passengers entitled to a re-routing will be minimal because most of the bookings made with Ryanair are closer to the departure date. Ryanair have given eight weeks notice so forward bookings won't be too significant. Any re-routings could be arranged easily enough through STN, MAD etc ...

Re: Charleroi Airport (CRL) latest news
This morning, it seems to be very busy at charleroi airport. Does anyone know, why flight FR022 from Dublin EAT 09.50 will be diverted to Beauvais (can´t believe my eyes!?!)
Ryanair need 700m runway visibility for Beauvais so it's probably below that. It's quite common for Beauvais at ...

LX-LGX, don't be giving out incorrect 'personal advice' please.
All booked passengers after nov 4 will be carried as normal. The Valencia base was already to be closed from 05/11-17/12 anyway so there are no tickets issued for those 6 weeks anyway. All EU regulations are observed. Routes operated ...

I think there is a chance that Ryanair could say bye bye to CRL but it is less than maybe 30%. If you look at what has already happened at Stansted for example, this winter 7 aircraft are being moved because of costs and other issues. The new bases in Alicante and Valencia were unplanned for this ...

OK LGWDOC, here's some facts for you. I'm a First Officer in Ryanair so that qualifies me to answer your rubbish.
We start to move and the robots run back to their seats as we start to taxi Ryanair style. This means speeds well above the limit; it really is no surprise flights have been charged ...
