Re: 700 jobs threatened at Brussels Airlines?

Hello everyone,

let's make it clear. I think the pilots are not that stupid and they understand what's going on right now in Europe.
The only thing which is not clear with this 85% thing is this:

Pilots on the Avro sector fly +/- 650 hours/year (Avro) and are paid to fly 750. That's the way it is ...

Re: 700 jobs threatened at Brussels Airlines?

Well,

that's what I just said. The salary freeze for everyone ok, but are they taking 15% of gross salary from other employees?

I would like to know, really...and I may be wrong, then sorry.

Maybe they will ask to take away the 13th month, it represents 7-8% of the annual salary income...then it ...

Re: 700 jobs threatened at Brussels Airlines?

Guys,

it's simple. Every employee is asked for a 5% (or even a 15% for long haul pilot increase in productivity).
Let's say ok.

The future of the company depends apparently only on the pilots who should make huge financial efforts for two years. I thought that in an airline, there were other ...

CargoB pilots signed a luxemburg contract. They pay their taxes in Luxemburg, not in Belgium! Yeah they could solve the problem in a few months time, while it takes years for SN to do it. CargoB piltos pay now 15 to 20 % taxes or even less if they have children.

When you see that, you see that ...

Hello,

that's indeed correct. I was one of the crew members of the flight coming from Madrid and after 20 minutes holding, we decided to divert to Antwerpen due to a heavy thunderstorm in the approach path of 25L/R (nice red cell on the weather radar), moving very slowly to the north.
Visual ...

I'm wondering where you saw some pilots adding some thrust during the flare. I'll tell you how it is in the Avro and I can tell you that this principle is valid from a big Cessna 152 to an Avro (so I suppose also on a 747). During a normal approach, you fly a constant speed. Let's say we fly 120 ...
