Marseille

Couple of visits to Marseille whilst on vacation. Runway 31L in use. The runway is offset so aircraft come over hill and land long. Lot of flights to MRS from North Africa. I wanted to grab some pics of Air Corsica. https://www.flickr.com/photos/plane_spotting_freak/28839121530/in/dateposted-public/

Berlin Air Show 2016

Flew Ryanair EMA-SXF - on arrival it was raining big time and continued to do so for 4 hours. Just got soaked so in the end gave up. Only highlight was running into this chap on board a brand new A380. He's more famous for Ed Force One if you didnt know! https://www.flickr.com/photos/plane_spotting_...

No big orders, flying display was 6 out of 10 due hazy. Best bits are you can wonder around the static freely. Highlight Saudia...

It will pose a problem for QR and add time to schedules depending on which way they are going.
Not sure if cripple comes into it but on some ULR flights it might make a big difference

The normal procedure is a quick call to the opposite Chief Pilot (who will say he;s great so he leaves) Unrest seems to be common in BRU at moment as EAT not exactly happy bunc...

I have a Canon EOS 350D with a 75-300 mm lens, i'm only using "auto" at the moment as i learn to use the camera. When taking pictures of aircraft at holding positions so fairly stationary, the registrations come out a little "broken" and the focus is maybe not as sharp as it coul...

One runway in use

Got caught up in the one runway saga when on BD236 BRU-EMA the other day. Have to say for an International Airport didnt seem well handled by ATC. 8th in queue took about 15 mins hold @ gate the 30 on taxiways. Numerous occasions of gaps in departing traffic because of aircraft on finals, at LHR or ...

Rumour that it was EMA not BHX, the weather was poor so a diversion to BHX 40 miles away would be a very good idea
