Re: taking oranges thru security
Sevilla oranges between LHR and BRU ? Well that's original :) As a crew member at UK security forget about mini nail scissors, corkscrew, any "liquid" food (yoghourt, mini jam pot...) so I dont' think oranges would be accepted, moreover as a pax. To tell you, even Captain's 5 ml Sofrasolon...

Re: LH looks for savings and more revenue > reduces service
I'm not sure AF is about to ameliorate the overall onboard service. Taken from Le Soir, 13/11/2009, sorry, in French "Chez Air France, il n’y a pas de petits profits Face à la concurrence des compagnies aériennes low cost, encore plus vive depuis la crise, Air France va réduire la plupart des t...

Re: Security checks as transit pax
Thank you guys. In my case transit pax were blocked at security in BRU, coming from AFI and going to CDG. At a moment we decided to leave without waiting for the last pax, but they eventually arrived just before their checked-in luggage was offloaded. We left from BRU with almost 3h30 delay... (this...

Security checks as transit pax
Dear all, Some days ago I was performing a CDG flight, and we had huge delays waiting for transit pax coming from AFI and blocked in the security checks queues. I was wondering if this is standard in all airports to security-check transit pax ? If well, what is the meaning of that as they don't leav...

Apparently the fire started during push-back, and not during take-off.

Re: BRU-BUD booked on MA, flying on SN: which class?
Yesterday on my flight from ATH to BRU, I had a pax who had booked a flight with Aegean. Outbound flight was done by Aegean, with complementary meal on board for economy pax, but inbound was done by SN, and she was in B-Light, and quite angry, which I could understand, as she had to pay for food and...

Ok my excuses, I thought the time of the link was in UTC but guess it is in US/EWR local time.
So, no safety problems for a long haul flight to be carried on with just 2 copilots ?
Sad story for the rest

Re: Security chaos at Brussels last night
Concerning security in the UK, last month I passed crew security at BHX, I didn't have to take off my shoes, nor my belt or my hairclip... and I didn't beep. At BRU crew security I always beep. And, I find it also a pain in the arse to have to take off shoes as a pax in BRU. They don't give you the ...

Re: Welcome b.business europe!
Euroflyer, how many cabin attendant are there on board SAS a/c ? Strict minimum or additional ones for commercial reasons ? I have heard that there would be no additional CA at SN with the introduction of the b.business, I hope these are just rumors, mostly on Avro.

Re: Welcome b.business europe!
Sabena pilot, I really doubt that SN management accepted the b-flex/b-light concept from an ex-VEX employee because they were forced to and because they had a Damocles-sword above their heads. I am quite amazed to read that something has been accepted from ex-VEX, as nothing has been kept from the r...

Re: 2 new Brussels Airlines destinations: Vilnius and Seville
In fact, flights to Sevilla will start on the 4th of April and not in July.
A detail strikes me. It is said about Sevilla that they will offer 3 weekly flights (on Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday) on Avro and 150-seater . Why not directly give the a/c type ? Not decided yet ?

Re: Business Class come-back on B.Air
Well, I really do hope that there will be a "re-think" of the different products, because if b-flex and b-light remain as it is now, I can't imagine 2 Flight Attendants on a RJ85 having to perform 3 different services with, for example, 25 pax in b-business, 25 pax in b-flex and 30 pax in ...

Re: What about fuel surcharge ?
Tolipanebas, yes.
But, if I did well understand, there still is a fuel surchage to pay in B-Flex, which is of 18,5€/stretch. As you say, no official info about this. I was informed by a Union representative some days ago.

Re: What about fuel surcharge ?
I'm already happy that this fuel surchage "tax" has been cancelled by BruAir since 1st of December for employees travelling on standby basis... On European flights, the price had almost doubled for travelling in B-Light.
