Re: BRU Summer 2025: news, new routes, airlines
Lower ticket prices? Indeed this this is why I talk about the competion on the route, but the sentence "how is SN hit hard by the deal?" Is refering to number of flights on those routes, thanks for not quoting what I say to use it out of the context. SN still fly the same number of flight...

Re: Brussels Airport (BRU) infrastructure: future
I don't understand the infrastructure at Brussels Airport is very good and nice there is nothing big to do that is my feeling has passenger. Setting aside the U-shape of the two terminals that maximizes distances for connecting passengers, air-side at Brussels airport is overall in very decent shap...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2024
But there aren’t many flights to the USA from BRU. Besides with the pre clearance max originating from BRU will have to be at the airport way in advance, (beats the purpose) and any delays with incoming connecting flights will result in many people missing their flights or flights to the US being d...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2024
From what I understood - and I can be completely wrong but - the pre clearance is part of the project hence it is taking longer than anticipated (the whole SN-AC-UA venture) But there aren’t many flights to the USA from BRU. Besides with the pre clearance max originating from BRU will have to be at...

Re: Miles and More
hello yesterday I received a message from American Express Belgium to announce the end of the Miles and More partnership with Brussels Airlines. For me, as a not so heavy flyer, this was a nice way of keeping the validity of the miles, and also to generate some ... Does somebody know what is going ...

Re: Alitalia saved by the Government and reborn as ITA Airways
LIN is a short-haul airport. Short-haul air travel within Europe is going downslope, like it or leave it. Sooner or later LIN is going to close, or at best be limited to general aviation. Same as happened in Berlin. When they closed Berlin airport it was a courageous political decision I'm not sure...

Re: Alitalia saved by the Government and reborn as ITA Airways
LH Group would have to give up the Slots. So the solution is 321. ITA does not have them im LIN, SN dors not have 321 at all. The NEO's can fly up to 230 Pax. Bru - LIN LIN - BR AZ SN AZ. SN 09:25. 09:50. 07:00. 06:55 15:35. 16:35. 13:00. 12:00 20:25. 20:50. 18:00. 18:50 ITA can easily take over th...

Re: Alitalia saved by the Government and reborn as ITA Airways
quoting oeb : Please, explain why the Lufthansa Italia "adventure" did not work ? As to Air Dolomiti, out of experience I can tell you that most of the time they never fly on time and never be surprised if you miss your connection. That's all (sorry) I know about the Northern Italian mark...

Re: BRU Summer 2024: news, new routes, airlines
I doubt that SN will be allowed to codeshare with a Chinese airline flying over Russia. As the EU is trying to maximise the impact of existing sanctions by closing loopholes, I think it’s only a matter of time before aircraft overflying Russia will be denied entrance into EU airspace. Very tricky s...

Re: Lufthansa in 2024
When LH will buy ITA, it will create direct competition for SN on the Africa flights. Not on the majority of course, but ITA is deploying the brand new A321neo, with super business class and Premium economy, on Africa flights like Dakar and Accra. Italy has also a big African community. For them se...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2024
Problems would be solved had everyone in this country been bilingual, the way it should be. Not being bilingual in a small and diverse country like Belgium or in the least possessing a working knowledge of the other language is a personal shortcoming in my opinion. We’re in the heart of Europe, not ...

A321 NEO would serve European routes with high demand, einher Business or leisure. And if yould would have read even with deepl or Google Translation the original Interview it was clearly specified why the A321XLR is not an Option- because the Ethnologie traffic Tages an average of 75kg of luggage....

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
Why is there no curtain between business class and economy class on SN european flights? LX, LH, OS flights have always a curtain between these classes. On the other hand: a curtain for one row looks strange ;) On a flight from AGP to BRU two weeks ago, there were only 2 passengers in business, sit...

Difficult to understand why basic road maintenance works are not being done. (Would the commune of Zaventem or the Flemish Region be in charge of this ?). And difficult to understand that there still is no proper drop off area and no upgrading of the arrivals taxis stand. Minor investments, I think...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2024
Brussels Airlines can finally demonstrate its strength to Africa Cheap long-haul flights, assistance to subsidiaries or regional transport: Lufthansa has had many half-hearted ideas for SN. Today, there is a plan with substance: SN must develop Africa for the group. The continent is seen as the las...

Re: EgyptAir stewardesses begin wearing hijab
It’s a choice. No one’s business actually, forbidding it is exactly the same and forcing it.. as long as it’s a personal choice, it should not bother anyone. same for alcohol. It should not be banned for religious reasons, passengers should be free to choose between a beer or a Coca Cola, I hope MS ...
