I think that if you want to spot the 747's, you'd better go to Steenokkerzeel village because most 747 land at runway 25R and the Jumbo cafe is at 25L

I know the Jumbo café. Indeed they are not very friendly to spotters. You need atleast 500mm to shoot from their teracce. I went overthere once, NEVER again.

Ok, this topic really got my attention. By panning you mean the visible speed the aircraft is doing like the "moving" background?
Second question: how do you shoot an aircraft at 1/20s? If i go anything below 1/320s then the aircraft is totally movement blurry.

Just one question here...... why do you shoot a moving target at 1/20s? I always use from 1/320 to 1/1000 for aircrafts moving.

I saw a Veuling depart around 16.00 that didn't retract it's gear..... anybody got any info on that? Did it return or stop nearby?

I for one DO think it's a hijacked aircraft that hit the pentagon but there was one thing i didn't understand.

If you see pictures of the pentagon taken the day after the impact it shows that the impact whole in the pentagon is to small to fit a 757 in it, just the fuselage would fit in there.

For the part where pilots use airbrakes on short final i just don't believe it, it would be a great risc to stall the aircraft or loose control.

It was during the flare, and if the pilot hadn't taken such a great risk I wouldn't be talking of it today. :wink:

From a technical point of view this might be a time and money saving feature in airliners.

Replacement of anything that needs to be replaced would save alot of time, kind a like "plug and play" or "plug and pray"
