Just for info:
OO-DJJ ---> electrical smoke in cockpit caused by one of the (electrical) filters of the windshield heating. located just above the captain.

OO-DWJ ---> N2 indication eng 2 was gone, Not a reason to declace a 'pan pan' but the captain did.

cleaning 'BGS' who have to work in ther own clothes becouse all there personal belongings gone up in flames...

The fusulage did hid the ground!
but the damage is not from that such of nature that it would be a total loss.

the repair is from the nose gear bay until frame 19, with a skin repair from 4 to 8 o'clock.

also some frames are replaced.

the aircraft is in ghotenburg for major repair.
they think it would be ready in about 2 weeks...

half way next year there would be a new name for the company...

some say they are thinking about re-use the name SABENA.

does anyone has more info, or some suggestions for the new name?

some rumours are going around that some of the 146 aircrafts are going to operate in Africa, and that there will be an outstation with maintenance, cabin and cockpit crew...

does anyone have some more info?

correct, but d.a.t. (snba technics) does only the maintenace of the 32 avro rj's (all maintenance) en line maintenance of the 3 a319, the two a330 are done by sabena technics.

further is there no connection between the two companies.

snbatechnics.com is the unofficial site of the technical department of SN Brussels Airlines, build by one of the technicians, me!

As i can only take pictures in our hanger, i like to have some more pictures but then taken at other maintenance facilities or fabrics...

with oo-djn this week they installed a airbag just behind the nose gear to extend the nose gear again.
but in this case it doesnt look that easy....
