Group of passengers taken off ACE-CRL flight by Ryanair

I think Ryanair will be a subject of quite a few conversations in Belgium after this incident:
100 Passengers Offloaded from Lanzarote - Charleroi flight

Ryanair today (5th Feb) confirmed that it had offloaded a group of 100 passengers travelling from Lanzarote to Brussels Charleroi on FR8175 at ...

Re: They say: Charleroi is the most depressing city in Europe

Well, I've always been able to find many interesting places wherever I've flown to. I'm sure I will find enough points of interest around Charleroi as well. Don't blame me for what the British press has written about the place, I gave you the link and you can argue against it.

Btw. - where do you ...

I'm a typical modern days' European. Living in at least two different EU countries at the same time (one home in Central, an other in Northern Europe, travelling around). Nevertheless, I'm not British, if you mean that.

They say: Charleroi is the most depressing city in Europe

A British newspaper says: Charleroi, the most depressing city in Europe becomes more depressing by the day . We can read: "Every year, millions of tourists and visitors pass through Charleroi's airport, the "Brussels South" home to Ryanair and other budget airlines, without glimpsing anything more ...

Wonderful, if they would only take one of those new planes and start flying with it between WAW and AMS
Earthman , a part of their success seems to be achieved by following some well-known patterns carved by Ryanair. Although they do not share the same fleet type (Airbuses versus Boeings), they ...

Well, I don't know if and when Ryanair is going to announce further expansion from CRL (will it be anytime soon?), but what strikes me is the extreme asymmetry in the network development from the airport:

whoever books on Ryanair knows perfectly well what happens if the flight is canceled, and accept it... Not necessarily. But I'm sure that after the media shows like this one many more will know it for sure. And it's how the opinion about FR is being shaped. I wish them well (as I also chose to ...

Tourism will be a by-product I suppose but rather small!
In part it is a matter of changing some attitudes. I think Poles do travel pretty much as tourists either, but usually the air travel is not a preferred one, many choose road instead. And it can be a very bad option, as some accidents with ...

FR not necessarily chooses the airport closest to the site, they choose the one giving best financial conditions /support. In case of Pau as a substitute for Lourdes it shouldn't be a problem, however.

there is a lot of tourists going to the Pyrénées in summer too
Isn't Belgium in part Catholic, is it? I'd like to remind you that Pau is an alternative airport for Lourdes, a big pilgrimage centre (all year round).

I think MOL just hasn't finished bargaining yet (not necesserily in CRL, maybe at one or two other destinations). After all, it's about the airport taxes YOU will be paying  and, err, maybe some marketing incentives he requires, as usually.

Ryanair's life-jackets theft

2 UK passengers were each given 4 month suspended sentences by a Spanish court for stealing 3 life-jackets from a Ryanair flight. The 2 passengers flew from Nottingham East Midlands to Barcelona Girona on the 6th of January.
Peter Sherrard, Ryanair’s Head of Communications said:
