A MD12 with 787-like composites can be much lighter than an A380 (if a
748 is lighter than an A330 then a MD12 can be as light as an A340/777),
which makes it an efficient and effective competitor to A380.

It would depend of what kind of VA you wanna launch...in most cases,
if not all, php is a neccessity for filing PIREPs. Of course you can also
recruit people (better to be those you know in the real life), coz setting
up a VA all by yourself can be very difficult.

I'm also planning to launch a VA ...

You could try Air New Zealand, despite what Comet says :laugh:
If you want same-plane service, try NZ; if you want to get to New Zeland
quicker, I think CX did advertise that their service would be the quickest.

Also, CX is voted as the "Airline of the Year 2005", and "World's Best
Airline ...
