Re: Ryanair in 2015
Yeah, I remember the pretty well, the good old Hertz 732 and some other. I think that the 787 would be a "logical" choice (strong bond with boeing, new generation aircraft, etc), but now there's the backlog problem. So maybe, if they want to start quickly, they will lease some other types,...

Re: Ryanair in 2015
If FR plans to start with a new type, will they reproduce the successful "only one type in the fleet" model like they did with the 738?
If so, wouldn't it make sense to start with a recent model? Meaning 777X, 787, A350?

Smart move, probably related to the fact that they are expanding to Liege.FLYAIR10 wrote:Not sure this was already mentioned here ,but it appears that the VLM-site is now also available in Dutch and French, not only in English.

Re: Turkish Airlines A330-300 has crash-landed in Kathmandu (Nepal)
Just realized that the report on avherald (http://avherald.com/h?article=482a5e9e&opt=0 ) says:
Nepal's Civil Aviation Authority (CAAN) reported one of the wheels had touched down off the runway, the tyre burst, the aircraft subsequently veered left.

Below, you see how cabin crew of Asiana abandoned the evacuation perimeter without seeing the woman who was later crushed alive by fire trucks after the evacuation. If you have one crew member managing the perimeter, this wouldn't have happened. It looks like they actually forgot her on board, the ...

However if you cant breath anymore due to heavy smoke or fire is coming towards you, that would be a reason good enough to get out yourself. Usually there are no legal consequences for that if the decision was taken in good faith. Make sense, thanks! That leads me to the second part of my question ...

Re: Turkish Airlines A330-300 has crash-landed in Kathmandu (Nepal)
Hey sean, Off course if your aircraft is burning to the ground than the crew will not stay on board a.k.a they will stay for as long as their OWN LIFE is not in danger. Honnest question here. How do you define when the life of the crew is in danger or not? Because, for me when there's an evacuation,...

They went into holding for +30 minutes, then went around after a first approach tentative. Just wonder how much fuel left. H.A. Could be a lot left actually. I think that the fuel cost is very high in KTM, so one could decide to tank as much fuel as possible for the return leg. I don't know for THY...

You'll find tons of them if you Google a bit, many of them forbidding possible alternatives or at least giving that impression.

Re: Wathelet dispersion plan for Brussels Airport
Yeah, but, again if I read correctly, this judgement is banning the routes as they're used since the 6/02, so basically this doesn't say "no left turn at all" .

Re: Wathelet dispersion plan for Brussels Airport
So they can still use the "left turn" SIDs, they juste need to fallback to the "pre 6/02" situation.

Re: Wathelet dispersion plan for Brussels Airport
Nice! So they if my understanding is correct, they're forbidding the use of: the "route du canal" version 6 th february? LNO 3C SPI 3C PITES 4C AND 5C ROUSY 4C AND 5C SOPOK 5C AND 6C So they explicitly forbid a fallback to PITES/ROUSY 4C and SOPOK 5C. In short they want a come back to the ...

I'm confused with all this "ikea/ring/whatever routes".
In short, they kept the LNO 3C/3Q/1W/1Y, SPI 3C/3Q/1W/1Y SIDs and deleted the PITES 5C/4Z/1Q/1W/1Y, ROUSY 1Q/1W/1Y, SOPOK 6C/5Z/1Q/1W/1Y?
