Re: United check-in at BRU

Luc, then we were on the same flight that day :-)

We arrived at the airport at 9.00 so we would have some time for a late breakfast at the airport, and when we saw the long line at check-in, we were happy we arrived 3 hours early. We were lucky the line at the security was very short this time so ...

Ok, I'll try this one then:

Re: 27/10: Pilot disorientation: GA aircraft in BRU CTR

wasn't it the P68 OOTJK?
If the answer is 'yes', then I wouldn't worry too much. This is the regular NATO pipeline inspection flight. Pilot has to come close to the runway and makes a sharp turn to stay clear.

Re: courses pilotage amateurs

Hi,

You can try the Koninklijke Vliegclub De Wouw in Goetsenhoven (Tienen). It's a 30 minute drive from Brussels.

You can find more information on www.dewouw.net

Re: Air France flight AFR447 Airbus A332 missing

According to AP fisherman in Guyana is believed to have found a 30ft piece of debris of the air france flight
The piece seems to be identified as part of an Ariane rocket, not a part of the AF flight.

Re: Un 747 bien bas au-dessus de Bruxelles

Maybe this post on another forum can shed some light on all things involved in a runway change:

You'll see that 25 to 40 minutes for a runway change is not that abnormal at a larger aerodrome...

Re: Belgian ATC staff considering industrial action

I am afraid that it is again a good example about working people who are unhappy at their working place. More pay will not do it. Less work neither because they do already so little hours. I have somewhere the feeling it is personally related , and should be solved at manager level.
A time-out ...

Re: Belgian ATC staff considering industrial action

I think you're missing the point: it's not (only) the staff shortage that's our problem. Or the fact that there is no clear HR policy.

Our main concern is the lack of a clear strategy for Belgocontrol in the Single European Sky. If nothing changes, Belgian airspace might be taken over by the ...

All TNT aircraft left just before 2200hrs. One Sky Europe 737 and Air France A300 cargo plane landed just before the airfield closed and will probably be stuck there until tomorrow 2200 hrs.
