BRU-MAN-BRU on SN BA (1 Feb 05)
BRU-MAN-BRU on SN BA (1 Feb 05)
Should I really make a report about this trip? It would almost be a copy-and-paste of the previous one.
BRU-MAN
Flight SN2173, codeshared with AA and BA
Avro RJ85 OO-DJR
ETD 9:30 actual 9:40
ETA 9:45 actual 10:00
Seat 8A
Load factor 95%
Meal: Brussels Bistro box with orange juice, croissant, jam and a chocolate muffin. To that, coffee. And the Neuhaus chocolates...
Larger view
Upon arrival in Manchester I saw a rare view of the once-weekly Syrian B747SP YK-AHA taxiing next to us:
Larger view
MAN-BRU
Flight SN2182 codeshared with BA
Avro RJ100 OO-DWF
ETA 20:30 actual 20:30
ETA 22:45 actual 22:45
Seat 10F
Load factor 75%
Meal: Brussels Bistro box with pasta provençale, a cheese roll, a Milky Way mini bar and that Dutch water with a ridiculous French name "Prise d'Eau". To that a Maes Pils 25 cl can. And the Neuhaus chocolates...
Larger view
In fact, I was booked on the previous SN flight, departing at 16:05. But business is business: my meeting lasted longer than scheduled and I arrived too late at the airport. The English employee at the SN ticket desk could not get me on the following flight (17:30) operated by BA, which was fully booked. Since it was a BA flight I was not even allowed on the waiting list with my SN ticket But I do not regret the 3-3 seating of their Avro!
And hence I had to take the last flight of the day after a long wait... The SN ticket lady did not even charge me to change my non-flexible ticket when I mentioned that I could not take the initial flight because I was late at the airport...

Andre!
What price did you pay for your ticket?
It interests me because I am considering using Jet2 from Amsterdam in the future, with it being such good a price compared to the extortionate SNBA and KLM prices for flights, I am willing to forgo a drink and a chocolate for 55 mins! With such a price saving.
(You may guess I feel strongly on this one)
Emirates

EUR319.33, non-flexible economy day return (60% less than for the shortere BRU-FRA-BRU day return trip on LH the day before!).Emirates wrote:What price did you pay for your ticket?
I should have paid an additional EUR50.00 for changing my return flight, but my smile convinced the English SN ticket agent not to charge me...
Sorry I missed you by 24 hrs, Bart!
