I didn't see that one coming!!

EasyJet will land for the first time in Sub-Saharan Africa. It joins Vueling, already lands in Senegal and the Gambia. They tried Ghana a few years ago.

The begining of an expansion in the region ? Well in France Transavia is still ahead, with several flights from Senegal to Nantes, Paris, Bordeaux, Toulouse, Lyon, Marseille and soon Lille. Also flights from Cape Verde to Paris and soon Nice

It will also be interesting to see what can happen from British airports (Glasgow, Manchester, Edinburgh, etc.) with the possibility of seeing flights to West Africa (Ghana, Nigeria, Liberia, Sierra Leone) with the A321Neo. You have to resolve the pb of traffic rights.

There are a few flights to The Gambia and Cap Vede operated by TUI UK

EasyJet debuts in West Africa – Flights from Lisbon and Porto to Cape Verde start in October
