Damn, it's sad to see V-Bird going down.
I had a very good experience with them in May.
I hope that they can manage (with outside help) to make a "doorstart". (What's the translation of that?).
In December I had a flight MUC-NRN NRN-MUC planned, I probably can forget about that one now.
But not forgetting the crews at V-Bird, which made my V-Bird flight an unforgettable experience.
I also wonder what "Mister de Vlieger" is up to, there has been a lot of news about him/excel-aviation lately.

Again a very sad news not only for the airline but also for our member V-Bird who worked for them
It's strange ... A couple of months ago V-Bird didn't had enough planes and leased some from different airlines to cover the needs, and now they are gone
As M. O'Leary said: "This winter will be a blood bath concerning bancrupcies of LCC".

Just saw on the news that the board of VBird is working hard to get the airline back into the air.
They couldn't fly this morning because ILFC did ground the VBird A320 to ferrie them to Shannon. This according to the board of VBird.
I think that an airline that transportst 80.000 people a month can make a profit.
Let's hope the best for them. It's not completely over yet.
Best Regards,
Yvo

exelaviationgroup heeft zich definitief terug getrokken. het personeel van v-bird is inmiddels ingelicht. v-bird houdt op te bestaan.
[Translation by sn26567: ExcelAviationGroup has definitively withdrawn. The V-Bird staff has been informed. V-Bird stops existing.
I fell sorry for you, Bart, and wish you all the best. But let's try to keep with the rules of this forum by posting in English, or at least give a short English summary.]

re
charter and sales operations
Yes, this is sad news. I just checked the colorsheme. It was really nice. Some airlines could learn something from them. And indeed I don't understand why this company goes bankcrupt if they had 80 000 passangers a month. Maybe they didn't have enough investment money at the beginning or they started to big. I always say it is better to start small and to get bigger from there.
Well I hope Vueling will do better. As i can believe for the moment they are doing fine and are growing! And for the people at Vbird, lets hope somebody will come to your help and buy the company and start over again from scratch! I'm shure there must be a market for a company like Vbird!!

Bye bye now, you are the first but defenitly not the last i'm afraid
Sorry to hear you lost your job Bart, but hey, I had the same on the beginning of this year and I made it back also! So cheer up my friend and go on the hunt for that job that is out there waiting for you!!!!!!
Check the site from the Exel Aviation Group since they are always looking for people, give it a shot, who knows!
Good luck,
Erwin
