News from Embraer E-Jets

Post by sn26567 »

Embraer revised its initial projection of certification and Entry into Service of the E175 E2 jet from 2020 to 2021 due to continued interest in the current generation E175 in the North American market; and recent negotiations between the major US airlines and their respective pilot unions.

EIS of other E2 models remains unchanged.

All Zodiac Slim and Zodiac Slimplus seats on the ERJ170/ERJ190 must be replaced: they have failed the FAA crashtests.

It seems like problems just don't stop for Zodiac: (very very) late deliveries of premium seats (forcing brand new aircraft such as 787's and 777's to be temporary stored in the dessert), quality issues (e.g. Zodiac has to replace all the C class seats of the 5 first A350's of Cathay because they were simply unacceptable in terms of quality, several others required only 'small repairs and upgrades'), and now even safety issues.
