Aerial firefighting news

On August 18th, a Russian-built BE-200 fighting fires in Portugal, sustained damage to its wings when it hit trees during firefighting action. One of the engines had to be shut down after it ingested debris.
Subsequently, the aircraft lost fuel, which supposedly started new fires.

Tanker 911, a DC-10 supertanker currently serving missions in California, has lost an engine cowling on the runway during landing, coming back from a mission.
