As you say, André, indeed. Even though this time there was the minimum minimorum of an apologies page.

It is a basic principle to give rumour to off-times as little as possible. Only when the off-time happens during normal business hours, a short announcement "website in maintenance" is a good idea.

A "sincere apology", as suggested here by some obviously overqualified IT-specialists, is not done! As little people as possible should know your site has been offline, and an online apology or a tweet does exactly the opposite.

"Website off-line for maintenance. Not expected back before DD-MM HH:MM We apologise for any inconvenience." That is the basic principle I learned, and have applied (with minor variations) time after time. But it seems likely I am one of the "overqualified" IT'ers here - if so, please don't tell my boss!

Frankly, not publicly admitting to a problem is, in my opinion, an error in every business and in every activity. Especially if the interruption of service is planned, one cannot communicate too much. Hiding/denying problems is 20th century USSR politics.

I wish them full success as well, but their erratic policies make me doubt.

But at least they changed the Management in January. So we will see what happens next in the next months.

As from February 15, VLM Airlines will operate three routes from Bodensee Airport Friedrichshafen. With three Fokker-50’s based at the airport VLM Airlines shows it’s belief in these new routes.

Watch out! If they are too successful in Germany, they could relocate there, just like DHL did a couple of year ago. And their OO- registration could well change into a D- one!

Looks like VLM will stop operating the RTM-LCY route for CityJet as of March 26th this year (at the end of the winter season, more or less). As far as one can look in the reservation engine, all flights from that day on are operated by RJ85 instead of the Fokker 50's.

Nothing changes on the ANR-LCY route.

Hamish Davidson says they want to carry 88.000 passengers in 2016, 35.000 to/from Berlin, 30.000 to/from Hamburg and 23.000 from/to Düsseldorf.
Also some Intersky employees were hired.

Three airlines (British Airways, Flybe and CityJet, operating partly with VLM aircraft) threaten to leave London City Airport if the new owner, to be selected this week, raises fees to recoup a high purchase cost.

seems realistic. I took them on numerous occasions from ANR to GVA, friday afternoon flight coincided with their flight to HAM, that flight always seemed busy, at least compared to our GVA bound one..
I hope they meet their figures, and more .. Wishing them best of luck.
