Kuwait Airways organized a function on the occasion of launching Turkish Airlines services, which was following the signing of the agreement for ground handling services where Kuwait Airways would act as Ground Service Agent (Passengers/ Runway/ Cargo) for its aircraft at Kuwait International Airport.
During the function, the Director of Ground Handling - Fawzi Khorshid expressed happiness for reinstating the services of Turkish Airlines which was among the prominent airline companies operating at Kuwait International Airport. He believed that the agreement was the outcome of fruitful negotiations between both companies, which also reflected Turkish Airline's trust in the capabilities of Kuwait Airways as well as its significant expertise in the field.
Khorshid stated that clients of Kuwait Airways being other airline companies enjoy several privileges in general with respect to providing them with special designated areas for luggage check-in at the airport, counters equipped with the latest equipment, and other facilities which satisfy the requirements and needs of clients.
He pointed out that Kuwait Airways was currently providing ground services to several other airline companies operating at Kuwait International Airport, in addition to providing services to the aircraft of Amiri fleet, aircraft of VIP guests to the State of Kuwait, cargo aircraft, unexpected flights, and private jets. He affirmed that Kuwait Airways was committed to providing all necessary services, systems and modern equipment along with a special section that renders all facilities and services to its clients, in addition to its capability to designate a work-team that supports the operations of these companies at the highest service standards.
Khorshid explained that Kuwait Airways operates with an integrated system according to the latest automated systems in all sectors such as reservation, departure and other systems. In addition to providing the latest ground handling equipment and new buses as well as providing spot and regular maintenance services so as to ensure timely departure of its own flights and those of other airline companies, which satisfy the needs of passengers.
He indicated that Kuwait Airways was working diligently to explore means to expand business relations with all airline companies, not only in the domain of ground services but also in several other fields in order to reinforce its position as a leading company in the industry, and on the other hand strengthen the traffic movement at Kuwait International Airport in coordination with the official Government authorities (Civil Aviation, Ministry of Interior, Customs).
Khorshid added that the Management at Kuwait Airways takes priority and lends attention to the interests of its clients such as airline companies by providing them with various services and facilities and also reduces the hindrances they could encounter. Kuwait Airways Management constantly works to improve the existing system to reach the highest efficiency in production possible, and provides services from sections to these companies, in accordance with international reputation that Kuwait Airways has acquired.
It must be mentioned that Turkish Airlines operates four flights daily during the week to and from Kuwait. These flights are expected to be increased during the summer by three to four additional flights.
