Typo with my first name - AF booking

Hi all!

When checking my electronic ticket for my flights Orly-Ajaccio with Air France in July, I noticed a typo in my first name, where it is written "Fabein" instead of Fabien".

What would you advise me to do? Call their customer service and have it corrected (risking to have to pay a change fee of 70€), or just leave it as it is?

Did any of you experience such a situation?

This happened twice with me, once with SN. I called immediately after receiving the e ticket. they changed it free of charge. Another time on LH (family name this time, just one letter missing). They suggested I book a new ticket, and cancel the original one. That worked out, as u can cancel free of charge up to 24 hrs of booking online. depends when U made the booking, if u detect the error immediately they should fix it free of charge.

Unfortunately, the booking has been done a couple of months ago, and I just noticed it this week-end, when sorting out some emails...

One spelling error in the name shouldn't be a problem, just call them and they'll make a note in the booking.

Yes, i agree with SN1203.. as is 1 letter difference. Should be no problem.

I had a family name/first name inversion for a transatlantic flght on a US airline earlier this year: no problem.

Change of first and surname,no problem with az!
Typo no problem either on SN and BlueAir!
Big problem with FR!

I wouldn't call them just watch how it will work, most of the time they won't even mention it...
