Hello, Here is my report :
It was WOOOOOOOOOOW for me if I have flown with a flightsimulator (with some help from a constructor (a real pilot ) ) from a B737-300. Around EBBR takeoff 25R Landing 25L and the constuctor did the taxi, taxi speed was 75 knots .
There was nothing special but only the FS's where nice to see (and fly)
You can fly A340,A320,B737-300 and Avro RJ but there will be much people ( I think ) so go early or late ( Then you can fly the FS Longer )
Its free but you must give your passport and you will receive badges.
Its funny and nice I would say GO !!!!!

Damn. I certainly would have liked to fly a full-motion sim instead of this non-moving Microsoft thingy Normally, flying those sims is really expensive, so consider yourself really lucky that they did it for free (that's what they did, right?).
Anyway, at least I booked a nice holiday to Tenerife in August with Jetair...

Sorry for the late reply.
My brother (L-1011) and myself went to the opendoor on saturday morning. It was very nice and we were able to go inside the A340 simulator. Since there were a lot of people only 2 of the 4 guests in the sim were able to make a T/O and landing. My brother and I weren't able to do that .
But it's very nice to sit on the jumpseat of the sim and watch how everything moves. I owuld like to have such a sim at home but unfortunately it costs 1/4 of the price of a new plane. 8O

That's right. If I remember correctly it costs something like 1000€ for one hour - if you want to do it privatly....flying those sims is really expensive,....

Must have been an nice experience.
Flying the real thing is even more expensive. At least the sim doesn't use fuelAvro wrote:That's right. If I remember correctly it costs something like 1000€ for one hour - if you want to do it privately....flying those sims is really expensive,....
