I have seen very few topics and/or messages regarding ADSB radarspotting on this forum.
However, I guess that some might find interesting info.
Is there an interest in local EBBR logs on a 24 hours base.
e.g.
ADSB radar spotting
Re: ADSB radar spotting
That is the kind of information everyone would like to see on the Brussels Airport website. But since they changed to a new format they don't even show the type of aeroplane anymore.
This looks like a great presentation of arrivals at BRU.

ADSB radar spotting
What receiver are you using, hbervoets?
Been thinking to buy one myself, but it's quite expensive...

Re: ADSB radar spotting
1. Are you using Planeplotter as you seem to get brilliant range.
2. How do you filter it so as to get only the Brussels traffic?
3. Don't you find the screen gets too cluttered with all that info for each trace? I get too much overlap just with 2 lines of info, when it is busy.
All said and done - have fun - best thing I ever ddid was buy a box , back in 2006. Opens up your spotting world.

There sure is interest in these logs.
Re: ADSB radar spotting
Besides BaseStation which goes with the SBS-1 or even -3 now,
I use Active Display by Gatwick Aviation Society.
This allows me to set parameters to see incoming and outgoing traffic from my area;
Not yet 100 % as You might have seen. More processing is being thought off, and ideas haven been forwarde to the Active Display development team.
But at least it gives an idea of what is happening in the (lbroad-) neighboorhood.
Since luchtzak.be is a more "closed-user-group" for the Belgian area, I will be pleased to contribute more, if the interest is there.

For those interested in Brussels log
please look at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Mode_S/
My pgm is automatically posting a 24hours log of overflying aircrafts.
look for "SBS Log from EBBR (Brussels-Belgium)"
It is posted around 02h00 UTC (04h00 local Summer time)
The SBS-1 is located near to EBBR (Wemmel) and all times are UTC
Please give me some time and I will also post a Incoming and Outgoing log for the Belgian area.
I also think it would be "overkill" to (over-)load this forum with logs and text-files, if other sites already exists to post to.
All opinions are welcome.
