FAA approved the inspection and modification plan of Boeing to resume deliveries of B787s.
Boeing will resume deliveries of its B787 in the coming days, said the FAA. American Airlines could receive a new Dreamliner as early as 10 August 2022.
Royal Jordanian is in talks with Boeing to increase the number of the current B787s in the fleet from 7 to 11 aircraft in the coming several years. The B787-9 and -10 are being evaluated.
Boeing said that operators of its B787 have experienced paint peeling issues on wing and horizontal stabiliser surfaces due to ultraviolet radiation exposure, and asked US regulators to approve its plan to address the issue.
Which operators? Qatar Airways? That would be funny!
Boeing plans to deliver five new-built B787s per month sometime in 2023, with suppliers planning to increase their output to support the plane manufacturer.

Boeing was forced to slow B787 production again at the final assembly plant in North Charleston, South Carolina, due to delays in major parts coming from Spirit AeroSystems.
Boeing 787 programme continues at a low production rate with plans to ramp production to five per month in late 2023 and to 10 per month in the 2025/2026 timeframe.
