Hi to you all,
Wish you all a happy new year.-----My 1st post of 2011.--------Only had time for 3 photos due to the cloud rolling in .I had blue sky with upper white cloud and haze(NOT GREAT).
Saw the BELGIAN AIR FORCE AIRBUS A330 CS-TMT going west over the pond as BAF630 at 12192m but was to far away for photo and the haze did not help.

Hi contrailwatcher,

Hi,
Fantastic Pictures Vlad, you must be using a lot of zoom to get that close!
My pics from today, taken near the CPT VOR. I was hoping to see the Air France A380, but it must have followed a different route . Still, I caught the Egypt Air 773 which was cool to see .

Re: Contrail spotting January 2011
Had a lot of Trans atlantic traffic routing north on UL613 via Detling Kent from Europe on Sunday (AF from Paris, AWE, AA and Delta from Brussels and numerous Swiss from Zurich) which indicated AF006 (A380) to New York might route over my house I tracked on flight stats but was delayed at CDG and when it did take off it didnt show upon Flightradar24.com so i waited about 1 hour (time a CDG departure takes to fly over Leeds) but no show. Unfortnately sky conditions were poor so didnt get any shots.contrailwatcherUK wrote: I was hoping to see the Air France A380, but it must have followed a different route .
When routing over the south it may take old AF Concorde route which takes it over Lands End VOR Towards Southern Ireland
Good luck its proving elusive
