That would be really strange as DWI was the last one to leave the fleet, so DWJ should leave the fleet first. Secondly, I asked SN about this before the summer and according to them, DWI was the last one to leave the fleet this year (in september), all the other ones would be leaving the fleet next year...

Could be maintenance then; as winter season starts Sunday, they'll need less planes. I don't know where SN is supposed to return the Avros, but the last one to return (DWI) went to Cranfield Airport (somewhere between Bedford and Milton Keynes).

According to FR24, he went to Exeter, which is 3hrs driving from Cranford. My guess is thus that it didn't leave the fleet, but probably indeed more maintenance or something like that.

DWK was flown to exeter for maintenance. Will be back end of next week if all goes as planned.
If I am correct next AVRO is leaving the fleet in february 2017.

Which one will it be? The DWJ or will they start from DWA?

IIRC, DWA will leave in Jan or Feb, I can confirm it tomorrow if you would like.

Meanwhile OO-SFY is now approaching Abu Dhabi. Presumably their paintshop is waiting for it?

You're right, landed a short while ago.
Saw it on FR24 this morning without indicated destination but it was AUH indeed.

I can only see what's been reported before:
SFT in Jan/Feb
SSO in Feb
SNI in June

Further capacity will be provided by additional wetleases

Hope that helps

another long term wet-lease like the WDL one, or bigger planes this time like the Titan 757 last summer ?

All 100-seaters. Don't know which companies or ac types. I think the titan 757 was only because of the late delivery of SNH? (but I can be wrong)

Maybe a few CRJ900's from LH Regional would look good in SN colours ;-)

I don't think SFX already needs a repaint (but I can be wrong of course).

I guess it's for the cabin renewal to SN standards. ;)
