OK guys, and if we calmed down a bit, what do you think?

And concerning the link posted by desert rat, does anybody have a link to the "editos" from Het Laatste Nieuws of 11 and 12/07? I did not find them on the web and would be interested to read them. Or maybe someone has the paper version at home and would be kind enough to scan them (you can send me a PM if you want)? Thanks in advance!

Ok. I hope this will help you to have a good day.

All my quite aggressive prose here above is in fact not directly directed to Flanders inhabitants. The facts are that some flemish politicians manipulate opinions by arranging the truth or even by lying (there are lots of flemish BV saying the same actually). By a very ingenious system, mixing truth, fantasms, rhetoric and nationalism, some people leads the nortern part of Belgium to think like they want.

Reality is MUCH more subtile, complex than what BDW and many others want to make you believe. The aim of BDW is a Republic (or something like that I guess) of Vlaanderen. He has NO other aim (except interest of Vlaanderen).

He doesn't care about Belgium, about solidarity. He wants the maximum for Vlaanderen. The problem is that some in the CD&V want the same. Kris Peeters has an enormous ego, and it's more than obvious that he's also fighting 100% for Flanders.

So far... By voting massively for independentists, you broke in two the confidence. Why should we give you our confidence? You vote for independence!

That's why we "fight" for our rights. If you want your independence, ok... It's your choice but then, we also want ours. That means, Brussels people will never accept to be governed by flemish. And if you take your independence, yes there wil be lots of discussion about new frontiers. But I think we are not yet so far in the shit :D

You must understand that you cannot have everything. Take your freedom, but it has a cost.

Finally, last editorials were finally a bit more intelligents. See Luc V.d.Kelen... BDW is not leading Flanders to a bright future. He's just playing with our future... With the consent of CD&V...

Wake up, Flanders! 8-)

They are waiting for Brussels. Because Brussels give 16.000.000.000 euros per year to Flanders.

that's why:

Ja... Geniet van de laatste 21ste juli. Misschien (waarschijnlijk) de laatste, maar de toekomst kon better zijn, na de splits...? Wie weet...

Hi,

Thx SN25657 !
I enjoyed it ! ( THX to the schlecks haha )

Belgian = Wallon and Flemish together,
( Belgium gives me 2 holidays -FL+BEL- , Flemish Republic gives me only 1 haha )

Hoping on a Belgian solution for this thing, splitting up is ridicoulous, 6 million Flemish inhabitants and
5 million Walloon inhabitants speaks by this voice to any other nation... Good luck and they say 'goodbye'
Haha

Just want some sort of motion/ new structure for the luck of all belgians now and in the future..
Flemish people voted NVA not to spli up Belgium but for a new wave in our civilisation,
pensions,healthcare,justice... and to have given a vote to the democratic opposition.
Finally also NVA has to see that this happend to them last time.. not their own toughts..

And now quick..

July 21st, 2011 is :
Invite an Alien to Live with You Day, Monkey Day, National Tug-of-War Tournament Day, Get to Know Your Customer Day, Legal Drinking Age Day, Independence Day (Belgium), National Lamington Cake Day, and National Junk Food Day.
And for me : ' Give me a break day '.

One of the basic causes where it all goes wrong are wrong numbers. You added - probably and hopefully accidentally - 1.5 million Walloons.
According Wiki it is 3.456.775 , not 5 million.
Quite a difference I would say.
And don't add all the inhabitants of the entire region around Brussels to Wallonie.

By the way, I have recently been very surprised about some harsh Walloon reactions against inhabitants of ... Brussels. I as a Flemish am not always aware that there are also other tensions, for example a resentment of the poorer Walloon socialist labourer against the Brussels bourgeois - even if they belong to the same socialist party.

Dutch and French speaking inhabitants would be surprised about the real numbers, including Arabic, Turkish, Italian, Spanish...

When I lived in Krung Thep I did the effort to learn the language and got several degrees at AUA. Yes, I have tried and succeeded before.
