Re: Contrail spotting May 2009
Great shots guys! And we've made 4 pages for this month alone!!
A few from yesterday (30th) to round out the month for me. Saw one this evening ... similar markings to Air Berlin (red belly/engines) .. but it
did not have the noticeable Air Berlin underneath.
All shot in Manual Mode, ISO 100 and a shutter speed of 1250.
Thomas Cook on TCX7SL - B752 - FL350 - 500KTS (YYZ-EGPF)
Air Canada on ACA878 - B763 - FL330 - 500KTS (YYZ-LSZH)
Austrian Airlines on AUS72 - Star Alliance Livery - FL330 - 500KTS *** Discharging something out of the underbelly ***
and lastly --
United Airlines (no further info)
Here's to a great June for contrail spotting!!

My advice for you is to rotate a bit the camera so you can get the plane not going up or downGuest Spotter CYOW wrote:Great shots guys! And we've made 4 pages for this month alone!!

Re: Contrail spotting May 2009
Hi, I use the 'Av' setting on my camera with iso 200 (unless its early morning evening, I use manual settings), and take pics in RAW format.
