Must be an exceptional flight, neither Havanna or Brussels are mentioned on the website.

I have heared that they will start a frankfurt route very soon!

Ladies and Gentlemen
The HVN B777 is due into EBBR this morning at 0910 UTC. It is coming directly from MUHA and is VN-A143. At this time (0530 utc) there is no outbound plan.

Landed on time at 10:11 lt as VN 6570.

And, indeed, no outbound flight on BIAC website.

Is it going to stay at BRU? (at least until tomorrow evening, when I take a flight to MAN)

L+G
As I am about to leave work I can say that there is no outbound plan
so it looks good for another few hours, it is possible that there is only one crew so it could night stop. Other arrivals are ZS-ESA a GLEX due at 1455 UTC and B738 N334CT which is due in from Lasham in Southern England but it is not airborne as yet and may not come.

As I didn't read this topic until now I was quite surprised this afternoon to see a Vietnam Airlines Boeing 777 parked at the Melsbroek Apron.

Does the aircraft operate civilian flights? If so, why did they prefer to put it on a military stand?

I just found out why on the website of the Viet Nam new agency VNA.
Sorry it's in french :

A l'invitation du Premier ministre belge Guy Verhofstadt et du président de la Commission européenne Romano Prodi, le secrétaire général du Parti communiste du Vietnam (PCV) Nong Duc Manh entame dès le 10 mars sa visite en Belgique et à la Commission européenne.

It says that the secretary General of the Viet-Nam communist party is visiting Belgium from 10th march on.

I hope this helps.

Nice shot of the tail of that plane.
I like the Vietnam Airlines cls.
It brings some colour into the skies.

Wow! A politician (not even a government official) who gets a private 777?

I don't see Elio De Rupo in Belgium flying on an SN Brussels Airlines 777

And he was coming from Havana. Not sure whom he was visiting there
