Boeing 767 Assembly Plant In The Early 1980s.

Post by Lame »

Some people seemed to be interested in the photos of the Fokker F27 ferry flight, that I posted under commuter aircraft, unless you are just being nice to the new guy.

I thought some people might like to see these photos, taken at the Boeing 767 Assembly Plant in Seattle some 20 odd years ago. :D

This is the Plant itself.

And 2 photos from inside the Plant, which are very hard to take, and I did not have a very good camera.

This is a test fuselage that they keep pressurising until it fails, hard to see in photo, but it failed just behind rear door, at a pressure WAY above normal.

Another test aircraft, that they operate all the hydraulic systems WAY beyond normal to look for problems.

Various aircraft outside on the 767 flight line.

And the famous Red Barn, the original assembly plant.

A pleasure. :D

I was with Ansett Airlines at the time, we were there while Ansett received their first new B767s from Boeing. :D
