Not so many people where present but I think everyone was a little bit scattered around the airport, maybe a lesson for the next time that we come together that we add the exact place (or with road-signs)
Bart,

Was there any press or TV coverage? After all the efforts I made to invite the representatives of the French-speaking media (together with others who invited Dutch speaking media), I'm anxious to know.

I didn't see anything at RTL-TVI or RTBF1 yesterday

yeah that's the guy. Let's ask Pressclub to give us some additional infos about that story

I know it is off topic for the spotters meeting, but there should be no shame in recognising such a big loss in the 1st quarter, which is traditionally weak for all airlines. Especially is the news reported by the FET is true, i.e. that SN BA made a profit in the 2nd quarter and in the first weeks of July.

André,

no press there, too busy with other things I presume. Next time better...

The National Bank report about SN Brussels Airlines was apparently forged (added incorrect information), spread around the internet (pprune.org) then the link in the topic of pprune.org was e-mailed to all Belgian aviation pressmembers. Who copied the information without checking the source.

Belgian crime-unit has tracked the IP-adress and justice will follow this up.

A rumour is spread that another Belgian airliner has set this up... Just a rumour though...

ciao,

Bart

Wow! Incredible! Thanks, Bart, for all those details that I ignored and for putting the record straight. I am relieved... :)

Hi all,

Sorry for my VERY late reply, but it is actually the first time in three days this topic loads on my computer.

Anyway, as Apuneger said above, we were stuck in LHR's T1 after BA went on strike.

This means that after a great one week spotting trip, our stay was a bit longer than expected (a pitty that spotting from inside there is almost impossible, also sleeping is impossible to avoid that someone in the crowd picks your bags etc etc), which made that we all were as tired as hell when we finally arrived at home (also the nights before were short due to early departures and late arrivels due to delays).

Glad to see everyone had fun, and I hope I make it the next time!

As a compensation, you can expect a big trip report ;)
Keep tuned, 10 flights takes some time. But we divided the work in 3... (Turbotrent, Apuneger and me).

Regards
Frederic

For the benefit of those who weren't there: Could we please have the names of the guys (and the gal) who are on the pictures?

Thanks in anticipation

And I'm anxiously waiting for the trip report of Sabena_690

The 2 people next to me on the picture are not my father and brother but my uncle and my cousin.

Yeah, I like it very much. I think the new paint looks better on an Avro than on the A319.
