(CH01 ... CH12) -CH02 + CH14?

In May 2006 CH02 was destroyed in the Hangar 40 fire @ Zaventem.
This C130 will be replaced not by a CH13 but a CH14.

Sabena Technics that had the CH02 in for maintenance, when a blaze in its installation destroyed four aircraft, will replace it with a second hand C130, that it found with the USAF.

I wouldn't give the replacement the number 13 either, given that the original was destroyed in an (accidental?) fire..

Last info I've got concerning CH-14 : It could take another two years before it will be flying for the military... Seems like it needs a hell of an overhaul and update...

Yes I do think it needs a serious overhoul. Wasn't it a Museum piece in the colors of Evergreen Int'l airlines? If I do remember the post that I read here at luchtzak (?) than it is a 'A' model , wich means it's totally NOT up to date. What concerns the overhaul I don't even think I want to know how long it has been displayed static in the desert in the USA (?) or inside a museum, but the plane must be seriously checked , overhouled and updated.
