I guess it never flew very long with these dark colours. Only white paints could stand the enormous heat developed during flights at Mach 2.

I think that is the worst colour scheme I ever saw on the Concorde.

As for colour - the SR-71 Blackbird was the fastest aircraft flying, and that wasn't painted white.

No most poeple adored the pepsi painting,
and regretted is was so short lived.
Anyway everybody has his/her tastes

Seems very logic André, Air France used a "cheap paint" for decoration, so it could not fly for long Mach 2. The whole circus lasted one week. See also this airliners.net article.

In the case of the Blackbird another kind of paint is used

should paint one of the left Concordes in Pepsi.

Perhaps this would have had more succes.

I prefer Coca Cola over Pepsi
