Next weekend: keep your eyes open!!!
Next weekend (29-30 oct) we can expect some
nice surprises!!!
Thomas Cook will use some additional aircraft
to cope with the strong demand for the holidays.
Thomas Cook will use a Futura B737-400 ( as it
is already doing now for some days a week);
they will also use an Airbus 320 of Iberworld
(this plane will especially fly to Spain and the
Canary Islands);
and last but not least, an Airbus A330 of Iberworld
this plane will do 4 flights next weekend for Thomas Cook
On 29/10: FQ6636 to TFS (Tenerife South)
FQ6152 to TFS (Tenerife South)
on 30-10: FQ7426 to LPA (Las Palmas)
FQ7646 to SSH (Sharm el Sheikh)
So spotters, keep your eyes open and cameras ready!!

Hi all,
Maybe I have a day off on Monday 31 (not sure yet). Does anyone know where this first flight will be welcomed (firebrigade). Could there be a possibility to spot it? I also assume that it is not known yet which runaway will be used for the first flight to come in (depending on the wheather, ...).
Looking forward to see the bird of Ethiad ...
Regards,
Danny

I presume (in case they do it), they will welcome the first flight at the end of Terminal B (when entering the 'terminal zone'), so a little bit far from the known spottingplaces, or when they do a 25L landing, when they leave the runway a drive on the taxiway, in that case I think the best place is on the top floor of front-park 2.
When 25L/R is in use then it will be almost 99% 25L. Because the first arrival will be on stand 205L, if there aren't any technical problems with the jetways ofcourse.
Confirmation of the salute by the firecrew I can't give, probably yes. It's not everyday that we can welcome a new carrier. My guess will be then that the salute takes place on taxilane T.

Hello
As already mentioned the full EY schedule looks like this:
And as already said Egypt Air operates a 332 every Sunday AND Friday as from 31/10/2005 until 25/03/2005 If I'm correct
ARR....time....days....origin/.....airline..type
DEP......................destination
ARR...17:35...1-3-5-- Abu Dhabi EY 332
DEP...18:50...1-3-5-- Toronto EY 332
ARR...12:30...-2-4-6- Toronto EY 332
DEP...13:45...-2-4-6- Abu Dhabi EY 332
And the Egypt Air A330-200 schedule
ARR/....time......days....origin/.....airline..type
DEP.........................destination
ARR...14:35...------7 Luxor MS 332
DEP...15:35...------7 Luxor MS 332
ARR...15:05...----5-- Cairo MS 332
DEP...16:05...----5-- Cairo MS 332
Looks kind a nice. 6 Etihad airways A330-200's a week and two Egypt Air A330-200's a week. That's like Eight A330-200's a week and with the SNBA A330-300's it's .... just ...pretty lot.
Looking forward to that.
By the way , does anyone has ANY idea about the ETA/ETD's of this flights? Will they take of as a early morning flight and arrive in the late afternoon? Like the Usual TUB and FQ flights? Like for example the TUB flight to Tenerife ...DEP 06:00 Tenerife
and ARR 16:00 Tenerife...? Will it be a little like that?
Thanks in advance.
Best regards: Yannick

Out of curiosity: what is so special about stand 205L?brubiac wrote:Because the first arrival will be on stand 205L, if there aren't any technical problems with the jetways ofcourse.
It's a pity that the aircraft won't park at the other side of the Terminal (the side you can see from the Wingtips). We won't see the water salute as well, in case it happens on Taxilane T.
