AMS-LYS, LYS-CDG-AMS: type of plane question

Post by Avro »

Good evening everyone,

I will be flying with EZY in the end of this year between AMS-STN and STN-LYS. Can someone tell me which type of plane they mostly use on those routes ? B733; B73G or A319 ?

And does someone know whether there are any rows which should be avoided due to bad window view or bad space ?

Many thanks in advance

Chris

EDIT: title changed since the routing changed

Chris...STD?????????
assume u mean STN as STD is in Venezuela

AMS-STN is operated by either 1 of the EZY a/c's so either the 733-73G and 319 8)

Thanks for mentioning the mistake Suppie it was my mistake. It's indeed STN..

As for AMS-STN that's what I thought you cannot be sure of one specific aircraft type ....

Anyway thanks for your answer

I read somewhere that Easyjet used aircraft with roughly the same amount of seats, so they can interchange aircrafts when circumstances are asking for that (i.e: aircraft goes tech and another and flight gets operated by another type).

But since STN is not a A319 base (or is it?) I guess you can expect to get an B733 or B73G, on my flights both sectors where listed as B733 but I got a B73G nonetheless on one sector (not that I did mind, they are really nice).
I got that one when flying from Luton to Amsterdam.
And does someone know whether there are any rows which should be avoided due to bad window view or bad space ?
I can't give a specific answer to this question, but just make sure that you get to the airport early (be at the counter at least 2 hours before departure) so you get in the first boarding sequence (passenger 1 to 30). Then you can board the aircraft first, and find yourself a nice seat. Shouldn't be a problem since Easyjet has no assigned seats.

When I flew Easyjet I was really satisfied by the service they delivered to me, and I hope you will enjoy your experience with them as much as I did.

great can I also pick the jump seat then if I'm the first  ;)

On a side note my plans have changed a little bit and I'm not sure know whether I'll fly EZY or with AF AMS-LYS-CDG-AMS. The flight with AF could suite me better the the timings but is more expensive (nearly the double) ...... So I don't know yet on which I'll be flying.

Another factor which is pushing me right now to opt for the AF flights is I would get to fly on F100, A318 and B735. All types of planes I still haven't flown on !!!

Anyway thanks again for your help Suppie and B744skipper.

Which day?

If I take e.g. 19 December, you will have:

AMS-STN: A319 (all three flights)
STN-LYS: A319 (all two flights. You can also choose Ryanair's B738 to Grenoble...)

The days are Friday Nov 25 to LYS and Monday Nov 28 to AMS

I know about RYR but it won't be them ;)

Again thank you all for your kind help.

I've now booked my flights and i'll have the folowing ones:

25 NOV AMS-LYS F100 KL
28 NOV LYS-CDG A318 AF
28 NOV CDG-AMS B737 KL

Does anyone know which types of B737's KL is using for its CDG ops? NG's or classics ?

Hi Chris,

The use of B737's with KL is very flexible: it all depends on the number of passengers/operational reasons/... It's impossible to predict which B737 will operate your flight.

It can either be a B733, B734 or B738, as KL uses all three types on their CDG shuttles. B739 is very unlikely.

Hi Fred I knew that they change frequently but thanks to your answer I now know it won't be a B739 .... However I still hope for an NG since I never flew NG's yet ;)

Hi Chris,

I just double checked my info, and to my surprise, KL DOES fly the B739 between CDG and AMS. Mainly on the busy morning and evening flights.

Sorry for the confusion!

So you'll have the choice between B733/4/8/9 ;)

My flight is a monday evening flight. Let's hope it'll be crowded so I'll get the -900. Would be three new types in one weekend. Not bad hé :frantic:

- KL1259: F100

28 NOV LYS-CDG A318 AF

- AF7641: B737-500
- AF7643: A319

28 NOV CDG-AMS B737 KL
- KL1228: B737 passenger!
- KL1224: B737 passenger!
- KL1230: B737 passenger!
