BA longhaul overhead bins

Post by heathrow »

As most of you know already, I will be travelling with BA in a month. I will be using their 747-400, 777-200, and 737-400. I know there are two types of overhead bins, one where the whole bin comes down, and one where there just a door. DOes anyone know what type they have on these aircraft? It's been 2 years since I've flown this airline!:(

The 737NG has different overhead bin doors, two smaller ones per bin instead of one large one. They close much easier when the bin is completely full too. And they have those large ceiling bins above the aisle, like the 757. Or at least the 737NG and the 757 that I've been on had such bins.

unfortunantly, it is hot a 737NG. I don't think BA operates them yet..... I will be flying on their 737-400

If you are on the upper deck of the 747, you get side bins by each window seat as the pull down bins do not hold too much.

I guess that on the upper deck you sit quite far from the wall?
