THY has posted an announcement late yesterday afternoon:

Our Incorporation has decided to exercise the options for eight A321-200 NEO aircraft that have been purchased from Airbus to be delivered in 2019 and to convert four firm orders of A320-200 NEO aircraft that were to be delivered in 2016, to four A321-200 NEO aircraft to be delivered in 2021 .

Yes they have changed the second A320-200NEO to A321-200NEO. It is not a spelling mistake.

"Merry Christmas and a happy new year to Luchtzak Team and Readers. :D

Greetings
Hakan

Hi

What's happened about Luanda, Bamako and Conakry ? TK dropped them from GDS some weeks ago.

TK has started code share service with Singapore Airlines on some West African routes : Ouagadougou, Nouakchott, Dakar, Accra, Abidjan and Cotonou.

Instead of buying them from Airbus, THY might lease two of the six A380s of Malaysia Airlines: this aircraft is too large for the needs of MAS.
