ex OO-SJO departed OST on August 6

Apparantly the old 707 tl-adj did get away from OST after 8 months of storage. But the aircraft didn't get far, as it had to make again an emergency landing, this time @ Reims (France).
The aircraft "belonging to" Congolese rebellian leader Bemba did rise again controversy talks by Ostend action group WILOO bout old planes and their certicicates of airworthness given by third world countries. WILOO demands better supervision by Belgian authoroties bout those certificates to both our flemisch minister Bossuyt & federal minister Anciaux.

Aircraft tl-adj was stored @ SEN some 4 years, and departed on December 31 2002 to make an emergency landing @ OST. For making this aircraft operational @ SEN rumours say they had stolen parts from other 707's parked @ this airport.

Must say " there is quite a smell" on this ex Sabena craft.

If you thinl about it there are many such "airworthy" planes flying around us all year! It's an accident waiting to happen

Anyway this one will be back in HIH for Christmas at that speed with probably another 15 stops inbetween
