VEX and SLR question

Post by Robin_Bamps »

Hello everybody,

Can someone help me with the following:

1) A friend of mine sended me a fleet list of Virgin Express yesterday, taken from the official VEX-website ( www.virgin-express.com ). In that list, the OO-LTL with the smiling mouth and the Brugge 2002-sticker wasn't mentioned. Is it right that Tango Lima has left the fleet? And if so, where is het gone to?

2) Another friend of mine will fly to Jerez de la Fronteira (out of Brussels) on August 12, probably with Sobelair. Which type of aircraft is mostly used for this service (B733,B734,B738)? And is there a Sobelair-pilot on this site who knows which aircraft is flying to Jerez that day?

Kind regards and thanks in advance,

Robin Bamps.

Robin,

On any European destination, SLR will switch aircaft depending on the number of pax and the availability. It could be either a B733, B734, B738, A319 (leased from SN BA) or even a B763 (as for today's flight to Alicante). Difficult to know long in advance.

OO-LTL went to BA, as some other ex-TV planes (can't tell you the present regs...)

I certainly don't want to be picky but, against all logic, it is actually Islandsflug and not Icelandsflug.

Don't ask me why, it is very unlogic...

This is not a surprise to me... since OO-SBX (ex TC-BIR) was first ordered by the now defunct Trans European Airlines... just as was OO-LTL.

EI-TVP was the registration when flying for the short-lived Virgin Express Ireland.
