Interesting article on Luchtvaartnieuws today. SN would like to receive more A320neo's in the future.
They are also looking for the replacement of the A330. The A330neo and B787-9 are in the picture. The A330neo is however not in the current LH group fleet. More chance for the B787-9 I think
I would like to have 10 million euro some day, but it's not likely I will..
I understand but is it not high time to change the very pessimistic Belgian mindset? We can see here a lot of complaining, but when the CEO finally is willing to fight for new planes bcs the company is doing better, it's again not good.
Decide what you want. Still flying second hand or having finally something new?
That's why it's important to put your source to avoid confusions for the others members.
Currently no decision to upgrade the fleet in the short term, but desicions will come later to know which airlines could receive new aircraft. It usally happens about 12 to 18 months before the delivery.
Lufthansa has over 200 aircraft in order + dozens and dozens aircraft in option. Deliveries will take long time.
The last 787-9 should be join the group in....2028. 2030 if we include options...
D- B.787‑9 (RR) RR Trent 1000 2028 PAE Lufthansa 2028 (Planned) On order
D- B.787‑9 (RR) RR Trent 1000 2030 PAE Lufthansa 2030 (Planned) On order (conditional)

Last A320Neo ( 2026)
D- A320‑271N PW PW1127G-JM 2026 TLS Lufthansa 2026 (Planned) On order

And it's not an A33Neo or 787 in the picture, but a A330Ceo
In November 2023, the first Airbus A320neo landed at Brussels Airport, followed by a second one in December. Three more will follow this year. The five A320neos in total are the only achievement for the time being when it comes to fleet renewal; There are no concrete plans to add more aircraft to the fleet at the time of writing.
“At a later stage it will be determined for which of the airlines under the umbrella of the Lufthansa Group they are intended. This usually happens about 12 to 18 months before they are delivered.”
So is there a chance that Brussels Airlines will receive more A320neos in the future? “We would like that. So it is not yet clear if and when that will happen.”
