On 6 August, flights attempting to land at Gran Canaria airport faced challenges due to wind shear, a meteorological phenomenon involving abrupt changes in wind direction and strength between two points in the atmosphere. Several flights experienced difficulties and safety concerns due to these changes, leading some planes to be diverted to nearby airports to avoid risks.

Here is for example Ryanair flight FR2502 from Berlin to Gran Canaria, operated by Malta Air Boeing 737-800 registered 9H-QBC, which diverted to Lanzarote after several attempts to land at Gran Canaria. (On a side note, that aeroplane flew from Brussels to Berlin earlier the same day).

TAP Airbus makes emergency landing in Paris

A TAP Airbus A320-214 plane registered CS-TNQ suffered a technical problem on 14 August after setting off from Lisbon, requiring an emergency landing in Paris Orly. The ‘departure from normal flight schedule’ took place in “total safety”. The plane left the Portuguese capital at 08.30, bound for Berlin, Germany as flight TP538.

Firefighters were waiting on the tarmac as the aircraft touched down on French soil. Passengers were rebooked on other flights. Te plane returned to Lisbon the next day as a ferry flight TP9250.

On 16 October, Air France flight AF814 to Nairobi (Boeing 737-9 reg. F-HRBF) didn't fly further than Trento, Italy. Two hours into the flight, due to mechanical problems with the de-icing system, it made a U-turn and returned to Paris CDG where it landed at 15:00. The flight was re-scheduled at 21:00 with Boeing 777-200ER, reg. F-GSPQ.

American Airlines ferry flight AA9600 from Barcelona to New York JFK (Boeing 777-200 registered N794AN) is currently the most tracked flight on Flightradar24 for the simple reason that it is diverting to London Heathrow, way out of its normal itinerary, for a technical issue. AA has a maintenance facility at LHR.
